Tranquility Health & Beauty Studio is situated off St Georges Street (Main Rd) in Simon’s Town and nestled away in a beautiful little courtyard. Internationally trained Beauty and Massage therapist “Suzanne”, strives to create a space, where her guests can switch off from the hustle and bustle of life. Treatments are not rushed and you are assured of her undivided attention. Suzanne began her career in 1997 in the employment of the maritime division of Steiner Leisure Ltd, operators of on-board cruise ship spa’s around the world. Over the course of the 5 years on the cruise liners, she learnt valuable lessons, which she adheres to, to this day. Over the course of the years, Suzanne has gained valuable experience and expertise in numerous massage techniques. Her oil body massage treatments can be described as a fusion of Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Point with the addition of Bellabaci cupping for fascia release. All massage treatments include a delightful back exfoliation and removal with heated towel. Suzanne also offers Shiatsu Meridian therapy, which is a very old and well-regarded Japanese form of body healing work, based on the same principals as acupuncture but without the needles. During the session the practitioner incorporates palms, fingers, for-arms and elbow pressure on meridian points while recipient is encouraged to focus on deep breathing to soften tissues and relax the body. This treatment is performed on the floor on a futon and is done fully clothed through comfortable loose fitting clothing. Product ranges used and stocked are some of South Africa’s finest and purest and includes. Esse Organic Vegan and probiotic skincare, Bellabaci pure essential oil synergies and cupping massage therapy, Algaeron and Ecklon a unique range of body and skincare products, exclusively developed from the brown seaweed, Ecklonia Maxima seaweed, which thrives along the West Coast of South Africa.
